Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrives in India: Will stay till September 8; There can be 7 agreements between the two countries

 Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is visiting India today on a 4-day visit. During this, she will discuss issues related to bilateral relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She will also meet President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

During this, 7 agreements related to defence, trade, railways, water management and technology can be signed between India and Bangladesh. These include the important Kushiyara River Water Treaty. On September 8, Sheikh Hasina will go to Ajmer Sharif to pay obeisance at the Dargah.

Sheikh Hasina told Rohingya Muslims a burden
Before this, Hasina called Rohingya Muslims a challenge for her country. He said – these are a huge burden for the country and he feels that India can play a big role in finding a solution to this issue. He praised India's PM Narendra Modi for rescuing Bangladeshi students trapped in the Russo-Ukraine war.

India helped in difficult times
Sheikh Hasina also praised Prime Minister Modi for helping in difficult times. He said- Many of our (Bangladesh) students were stuck in Eastern Europe amid the war between Russia and Ukraine. They were brought to India after the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Hasina said- Many students of Bangladesh had escaped from the war to Poland, but when the Indian government was engaged in saving Indian students, they did not leave our students in trouble. He also brought our students back home.


India is the 'tested friend '

of Bangladesh, he described India as the 'tested friend' of Bangladesh. He said- India sent several consignments of vaccine to Bangladesh under the Vaccine Friendship Program. This is also commendable. He stressed on maintaining strong cooperation between neighboring countries. He said there may be differences between India and Bangladesh, but they should be resolved through dialogue.
